6 Foods for Beautiful Hair

If you look on the store shelves, you will find a wide variety of products that claim to make your hair shiny, healthy and beautiful. You can also improve your hair from the inside out, by eating certain foods.

 

  1. Green Veggies

Packed with Vitamin C and Vitamin A, adding more green leafy vegetables into your diet, will benefit new hair growth, giving it a healthier appearance. Some examples are: broccoli, kale, and spinach. Eat raw or steam to retain the vitamin content. Be sure to not overcook them.

Eggs are a high source of Cysteine, which is responsible for hair growth. Eggs are protein rich and contain many vitamins and minerals which will make your hair look and have a healthy shine.

  1. Fish

Fish such as salmon and trout contain high amounts of Omega 3 fatty acids, which will keep hair very shiny and resilient. Omega 3 fatty acids are also great for the skin, which will improve any dry scalp issues.

 

  1. Strawberries

Strawberries and other berries are high in antioxidants and Vitamin C, which will nourish the scalp and the hair follicles. By keeping the hair follicles healthy, they will be able to produce healthier and stronger hair strands.

  1. Nuts

Almonds, pecans, and walnuts are full of Omega-3 fatty acids and zinc. Zinc aids in the reduction of hair loss, so be sure to grab a handful of nuts each day to keep your locks looking great.

 

  1. Carrots

Carrots are chock full of Vitamin A, which promotes new cell growth. Your scalp will be healthier, and your hair will feel more conditioned, smooth and shiny by adding carrots to your regular diet.
