The Omega-3 content in nuts has many benefits, including heart and brain health, relieving inflammation, and also helps depression.

 

 

This delicious Almond Granola recipe is a perfect breakfast that includes fruit and plenty of nutrients.

 

Cranberry Almond Granola

4 cups regular oats

1/2 cup sliced almonds

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup honey

1/3 cup molasses

1/3 cup water

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Cooking spray

1 cup dried cranberries

1 cup raisins

 

In a large bowl, combine oats, almonds, cinnamon and salt. Mix well.

In a medium saucepan, combine honey, molasses, water, and oil. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat, then pour over oat mixture, stirring well to coat.

Spread mixture evenly onto a jelly-roll pan coated with cooking spray.

Bake at 325° for 40 minutes or until lightly toasted, stirring every 10 minutes. Remove from oven. Stir in cranberries and raisins.

Cool completely. Store in an airtight container to keep fresh.
